Hi, I’m Lorna Martin.
I'm a professional counsellor and qualified psychotherapist based in the heart of Hinckley.
I graduated from Leamington College with a foundation degree in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I also have an ACC certificate in couples and sex therapy.
I have vast experience in a variety of different psychotherapy and counselling methods, including telephone counselling, one-on-one mental health counselling and couples therapy.
As someone with a wealth of life experience, I understand that life can come with obstacles and problems along the way. These may come in the form of situational milestones, such as exams or facing the ‘empty nest,’ or perhaps in the form of a mental illness, such as depression or anxiety. When in the midst of these crises it is often difficult to see beyond them, and they can become all-encompassing and have a negative impact on all aspects of life. I aim to provide you with the tools to help you make sense of your situation and, step by step, empower you and enable you to see light at the end of the tunnel, as well as providing an empathic and unbiased ear.
My counselling and psychotherapy is suitable for couples, as well as individuals, and I understand and appreciate that all relationships have their troughs and peaks, from the relatively new to those who have been together for decades.
As a counsellor, I provide a place for couples to voice their concerns to each other and learn to listen, compromise and understand each other anew.
I offer a comfortable, safe, non-judgemental space in which to explore and talk through any issues you may be experiencing.
